Acoustic Tracks of the week

This week's show featured some awesome exclusive acoustic tracks by Samantha James and Coldplay, who will be performing A Sky Full of Stars in the highly anticipated upcoming Super Bowl half-time show that takes place in Santa Clara at the state-of-the-art Levi's Stadium and they must be feeling the pressure! Lead singer, Chris Martin has revealed that there will be a 'special guest' joining them and with such huge expectations from everyone he is admittedly 'really really nervous'. Well we've got high hopes for these songbirds as they prepare to the socks off our feet and join the elite group of headliners like Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.

With James' hit titled Rise that's exactly what she is doing. This track is surprisingly sophisticated with the perfect balance between electronic and organic. It's a mellow track that is a unique fusion of house, smooth jazz, electronic, and soul that is notably light yet you can still dance to it.

Some new tracks added to this week's show were Boom by Paper Rockets covering Simple Plan, What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber and Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Now if you like the regular version of What Do You Mean you'll definitely want to hit up the acoustic version, and coming from someone who has never been a Bieleber, his whole campaign to prove he's not the bratty douchebag we all think he is, I hate to admit- I'm starting to buy into it!

As for Can't Hold Us Macklemore and Ryan Lewis combine compelling rhythms of gospel music with foot-stomping, handclapping and an intoxicatingly inspiring chorus. This motivational number compliments the duo's vivacity and is identifiably Macklemore. So don't miss out and be sure to check out the next show for more stripped down hits!
