Sylvester Stallone will play a “mystery character” in the movie. But who?
Despite the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 fast approaching, there are still a few things we don't know about the movie. We may know that the same cast from the previous GOTG is still present, however there’s one particular actor whose role is being kept secret.
Namely Sylvester Stallone, the Hollywood actor known for many names; Rocky, Rambo, Barney. But Marvel isn’t revealing what his character will be in the new GOTG movie. The internet is speculating a lot of theories.
There’s an Italian website on the internet that suggests the icon will be playing a classic character. The site featured casting information for the film, and its final line gives a nod to Kurt Russell and Stallone. The former is said to play Ego, a fact which fans have known for some time. But, when it comes to Stallone, the release writes that the actor will be playing a character named Stakar.
In the comics, Stakar is better known by the title Starhawk, and he is a major player in the franchise. He is the son of heroes Quasar and Kismet. Starhawk is also known as a sort of antihero who teamed up with his sister-turned-lover Aleta Ogord.
