Is any of the party officials in Israel going to see Britney Spears live?
The country of Israel has just rescheduled one of its party elections because it takes place on the same day Britney Spears will have a concert there.
Britney will be performing in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park for the first time ever on July 3 – so it’s clearly a big deal.
So much so that the country’s Labour Party, which was due to vote for its new leader on that day, has ended up changing the date. As a result of her concert the election will now take place the following day.
Jerusalem Online reports, the official line does not name Britney, and simply states that the change has taken place due to a “major event” in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park.
Meanwhile, Backstreet Boys singer Howie Dorough recently performed with Spears as part of her Las Vegas residency last weekend. He was put on a leashed, slapped in the butt, then given a free T-Shirt after.
