Giant Pandas Are No Longer An Endangered Species
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), an environmental organization has announced the new designation that keeps track of the conservation status of plants and animals.
Pandas may no longer be one of the endangered species however it doesn’t mean that pandas are safe. According to the IUCN, in the next 80 years, climate change could destroy more than 35 percent of bamboo forests.
The efforts of the Chinese government for conserving the species especially the giant panda has been effective and the protective measures is important to be continued as well as addressing emerging threats.
