Serious smokers have the tendency to find it hard to quit smoking despite genuine attempts at doing so, while some can kick the habit as simple as throwing their packs of stashed cigarettes and lighters others have trouble staying away from smoking simply because of certain triggers that signals the mind to find that bliss of puffing a stick or two.
Some might find their way back to smoking by the things they do, eat or even drink. A study made shows what foods make cigarettes taste awful that smokers would just drop the habit, while there are some foods that also seem to encourage smokers to smoke more rather than quit.

According to a study out of Duke University, these 4 foods make cigarettes taste terrible:

 • Fruits

 • Vegetables

 • Dairy Products

 • Non-carbonated beverages, such as water and fruit juice

Meanwhile, these three foods make cigarettes taste better (avoid!):

 • Meat

 • Coffee

 • Alcoholic beverages

Although researchers can't explain why, but they think that foods may alter saliva production and temporarily change taste buds in a way that makes cigarettes more or less palatable.

So if you are not yet mindful about your health then it is high time to do so considering that with smoking its never going to be an easy battle when the symptoms start manifesting themselves. If a smoke can ease up a tense situation or offer relaxation from a stressful day then try eating watermelon seeds or chewing gum to substitute for cigarettes.
