This February 20-22, witness the 12th Thirsty Football Cup to be held at the Cebu City Sports Complex!
The Thirsty Football Cup is the biggest football tournament in the country in terms of team numbers. They aim to let the people develop sports, be conscious and be healthy in order to have a stronger and healthier Philippines. They are happy to tell everyone that over 200 teams have registered and that there are more teams outside Cebu now compared to the other years. Some of the teams that joined from other places areAteneo De Davao, Xavier Manila, Manila Soccer Academy, The Meralco Sparks and many more!

How did this event spread out? Chad Songalia, one of the organizers, said that it was basically a word-of-mouth thing. Players or coaches from Cebu told other football players and coaches from other places, and eventually became interested in it. Some ventured and found out about the cup. With that humble beginning, the Thirsty Football Cup is currently the country’s longest running festival.

Players will compete via “group stage” while the 38 ABOVE category will compete via “league time”. The Cup’s official is Sunsport.
