Since its first inception as The Voice of Holland in 2010, ‘The Voice’ franchise quickly became a global phenomenon with different variations all over the world. The reality singing competition show has become a rival to the Idols franchise and The X Factor.
Just recently, The Voice Kids Brazil became a trending topic on Twitter. Everyone was talking about a 13-year old kid’s stunning cover of Camila Cabello’s ‘Havana’ in the Brazilian edition of the show. Lívia Bernarde got raves (and the occasional rants) for her rendition of Cabello’s WT20 hit song.
Billboard said Bernardo did well. Twitter user @JuPessoaAP says that the younger singer “improved the music” rather than ruining it like most people say, most especially Twitter user @BruxaOtariana who argued that Bernarde “crapped” the Camila Cabello song.
Galera que tá dizendo que a Lívia Bernarde estragou a Música Havana, escuta de novo! Pq ela melhorou a música, isso sim!?— Jubs (@JuPessoaAP) March 18, 2018
