Britney Spears: American Dream is a mobile game where players fight to make it to the “A List”

With a new album coming out soon and a residency in Las Vegas on the way, the 34-year old pop diva has been quite busy this year. Her latest venture is a new mobile game called Britney Spears: American Dream available in iOS and Android devices.

The mobile game can let players create a pop-singer character whom, in the game, they can compete to make it onto the recording industry’s A list. The players must guide their character to hobnob with managers and agents, put together a band, record fictional hit songs, pick out the perfect wardrobe, and take advice from a digitized version of Britney Spears herself. Along the way, players face off with backstabbing pop stars, and annoying paparazzi vying for attention.

The game was created by Glu, the same company responsible for making the app games Kim Kardashian Hollywood and Katy Perry Pop.

When asked why Spears wanted to make a mobile game, the Womanizer singer said, “It's honestly not something I had ever given much thought to. The focus has been my career and for the last few years and my residency at Planet Hollywood. But I'm always looking for new ways to express myself creatively, and I'm excited for this opportunity.”
