It’s the merry month of December and because there’s been a shift in topography on Bootleg Gold’s landscape, it’s going to be Live Sessions tonight.
Surprise, surprise! We’re switching Featured Artists to Christmas Day when we bring you a Santa special! Marko and I have decided to do a super exclusive on rockin’ Christmas tracks from our choice icons. But it’s no surprise if I give it away so that’s as much of a trailer I’m giving you. My advice though – don’t miss out!
In the interim, today we’re giving you those front row seats again as we bring another set of headbangers live!
Expect to hear Peter Frampton in concert with a cover of The Beatle’s While My Guitar Gently Weeps which was written by George Harrison and released way back, almost 4 decades ago. An incredible jam up ahead when you hear this classic masterpiece from the man whose guitar does the singing!
Another great performance to anticipate on this evening’s show, coming from the magnificent alternative rock group Filter is Take A Picture from the live gig at Rock AM Ring in 2008. I have profound memories of this incredible track on MTV at the turn of the century when the song was released in November of 1999.
And here’s a biggie to look forward to – Kings Of Leon performing Use Somebody live at Rock Werchter in 2009. You may not all remember this American rock band composed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill together with their cousin Matthew Followill formed in Nashville, Tennesse in the year 2000 when they astounded us in 2008 with this blockbusting hit; this gig in particular headlined a number of music festivals they did in Europe so listen to it – it totally rocks!
Ending the last leg of Bootleg Gold, we’ll be attributing a special three-pack to the late Scott Weiland, lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots who just passed away last week. Thank you Scott, for the outstanding music you gave us!
