I’m not sure what Thom Yorke tastes like but he definitely doesn’t taste like paper.

Right now there are more videos on YouTube of people eating a picture of Thom Yorke than there are videos of people reviewing his new album.

Thom Yorke is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the experimental rock band Radiohead. After six years of no new recorded material (except when they recorded a theme song for the movie Spectre), the band finally surprised its fans of a new album called A Moon Shaped Pool.

A Moon Shaped Pool is the much awaited ninth Radiohead studio album. A week ago, the band disappeared from the internet but later came back to release a new single called Burn the Witch.

Now this is where the whole fans eating pictures of Thom Yorke origin came from. It turns out after the release of the new song, a Reddit sub-thread titled “Alright, time to settle this. If LP9 is announced OR released tomorrow, May 6, I will eat a photo of Thom Yorke” circulated.

The redditor was inexplicably joined by a dozen more Radiohead fans who promised to do the same. And then LP9 titled A Moon Shaped Pool came out over the weekend. Since then fans have been sharing videos making good on their promise.
