Green Day’s show in Glasgow, Scotland was cancelled yesterday. We would have understood if the Scots went to the band in their hotel and demand them to perform for them. However, things went differently.
Some of the band’s Scottish fans serenaded the group with their biggest hits outside their hotel. See how frontman Billie Joe Armstrong reacted below.
The band had been scheduled to play an outdoor show at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park yesterday, but “extreme weather conditions” meant the show could not go ahead. To avoid a riot, a replacement show at a later date was announced.
In the meantime, some fans waited outside the band’s hotel to catch a glimpse of them. The crowd was then heard singing classic Green Day hits like Still Breathing and American Idiot.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong reacted to the gesture by posting a video on Instagram. He said; “Right now, I can actually hear people gathering outside our hotel. I heard them sing ‘Still Breathing’, which was beautiful”. Watch below.
