J.K. Rowling finally apologizes

Today marks the anniversary of ‘The Battle of Hogwarts’.

Famed Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has apologised to millions of her fans. Why? Because she (spoiler alert!) killed off Professor Snape in the original HP novels.

Professor Severus Snape was the antihero of the wizarding series. In the final book, The Deathly Hallows, it was revealed that he wasn’t a bad guy at all. In fact, he was the one who protected Harry Potter and acted on the side of good rather than evil throughout his life. And then J.K. Rowling killed her off in the same book.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, Rowling made the announcement to mark the ‘anniversary’ of The Battle of Hogwarts, which takes place in the final chapters of Deathly Hallows. She said, “Please don’t start flame wars over it, but this year I’d like to apologise for killing (whispers).. Snape. *runs for cover*

Meanwhile, plans for the sequel for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them film are gathering pace with the news that Jude Law is set to play a young version of Albus Dumbledore.
