Yoda appear in Star Wars

Yoda actor Frank Oz is being cryptic when asked by fans if Yoda will appear in the next Star Wars film.

72-year old actor Frank Oz was asked by Variety if his popular character Yoda would appear in the next Star Wars film Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, to be released December 17 this year.


Star Wars fans are hoping that the Jedi master Yoda might make an appearance, but Frank Oz is being cryptic when asked.

I feel like I’m a prisoner at war here, and I can only give you my name, rank and serial number,” he responded. “To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I’ve been asked not to talk about it. I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me.

Frank Oz operated the Yoda puppet in the original trilogy (1977-1983) and voice-acted him in the prequels (1999-2005). Speculation is now rife on film blogs that Oz might be hiding something, and that he might be really be reprising the famous character.

We’ll just have to see come later in the year.
