Post Malone, the 21 year old singer, songwriter, rapper, producer from New York, first gained major recognition in February 2015, after the release of his debut single "White Iverson". In August 2015, Malone landed a record deal with Republic Records. Then on Christmas the next year, he released his debut studio album Stoney.
After 4 million streams on "White Iverson," Post Malone’s popularity skyrocketed. Thefader did an interview with the relatively new musician on the scene and found him to be goofy, good natured and incredibly talented.
In 2016, he made a few headlines with his friendship with Canadian singer Justin Bieber. Budding out from this relationship came a collaboration. In December 2016, Post Malone released the single Deja Vu”, which climbed up in Y101’s Weekly Top 20.
