Buzz of the Day: Drake vs Eminem Rap Battle – Who Would Kanye Pick?

Although the rumor that Drake is up for a rap battle with Eminem is fake, Kanye West still made his opinion clear by saying that Drake would “obliterate” the rap god anytime if ever a battle was to happen.

Last week Drake clarified that there was no epic feud brewing between him and Eminem. It would have been one of the biggest feuds that hip-hop has ever seen since Biggie vs Tupac. The rumor started as a joke that Drake and radio host Ebro Darden didn’t think would balloon up.

It all started one Wednesday morning on Hot 97 when DJ Ebro Darden detailed a private conversation he had with Drake which suggested that an Eminem diss track was on its way.

The rumors suggest that the rap god may be coming for Drake because of the Hotline Bling’s singer’s recent spat with rapper Joe Budden that began a few months ago when Drake clapped after Budden, during a podcast appearance, criticized his album Views.

“I told Drake I heard the rumour was that Eminem was gonna gear up to come after him,” said Ebro. “And [Drake] laughed, and he said, ‘That’s not gonna happen. He’ll never do that. And if he did I got something for him, too.'”

But recently, according to Ebro, it was all a joke. Darden later took to Twitter to explain his prank, calling it a "joke" that "people ran with." Darden also said he was only talking in "jest" when he spoke about the supposed beef.

But whatever, right? It would have still been great if it really was going to happen. But Kanye West, just like all of us, really wanted to see what the battle would look like so he added fuel to the fire and tried to heaten up the tension.

Hollywood Life reported that Kanye thinks that Drake would “obliterate” Eminem if there was a rap battle between the two artists. “Eminem had been sitting idle for years, like duck just floating on water, and Drake’s that huge crocodile that could just come out of nowhere and swallow his entire life.”

The source to the website even added “Drake obliterating Eminem would be a little warm up before he and Kanye get in the studio together and Collab on an album that’s pure fire!”
