After listening to so much new music, it’s always a welcoming treat to hear some good old classic rock and what can be more classic than to hear the celebrated prodigy Axl Rose sparking up Bootleg Gold?

Perhaps one of the most powerful and greatest vocalists of all time, American singer and songwriter Rose, born on February 6, 1962, co-founded the world renowned hard rock band Guns N’ Roses which gained tremendous success and recognition in the late 80s and early 90s. The initial lineup of brilliant musicians included lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler, although Axl Rose remains to be the only original member of the band.

Dubbed as Ayatollah for obvious reasons, this supreme leader of hollering who’s ripped up cars, shattered relationships, busted video shoots, messed up performances and crucified himself with bizarre statements has quite a historical background of rebellious deeds. Regardless, Guns N’ Roses’ frontman was the trendsetter of bandannas, just as much as his band influenced leather pants, top hats and Gibson Les Pauls.

In 1987, his breakthrough album Appetite For Destruction marked the start of his fame and was labelled the best debut album in the history of Rock and Roll. It embraced ace tracks like Sweet Child O’ Mine, Welcome To The Jungle and Paradise City among other GNR faves. The group released a total of six albums including this one – G N’ R Lies (1988), the twin albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II (1991), The Spaghetti Incident? (1993) and Chinese Democracy (2008), all reaching single digits in the Billboard Top 200.

Rose, together with some of the previous members of his band, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14, 2012 in Cleveland, although he declined to attend the event for the reason stated on the band’s Facebook fan page: "I still don't exactly know or understand what the Hall is or how or why it makes money, where the money goes, who chooses the voters and why anyone or this board decides who, out of all the artists in the world that have contributed to this genre, officially "rock" enough to be in the Hall?”

Visibly a Rose with health issues undergoing past life regression after he revealed memories of being sexually abused by his biological father and maltreated by his stepfather. Undeniably, a screaming two-year-old!
