Who would have guessed that the poser would remain at Number 1 for the second time on last week’s Weekly Top 20 countdown? Duh!!! Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean? was obviously a winner before the race even started! Anyone who flashes his nude ding long dong just in time to promote his new single has to have something up his sleeve or better said, under his drawers!

And even if critics state that his music has matured just as much as he has (seriously now?), he still has a long way to go before he can even come close to any of the great kings and divas of pop such as Michael Jackson and Madonna. Nevertheless, expect this track to stay on the pinnacle for quite a bit so for all you Beliebers, enjoy the ride!

What’s a bomber is that Fifth Harmony’s I’m In Love With A Monster which continues to linger at Number 2, has a huge possibility of diving downhill with Taylor Swift’s very appealing track Wildest Dream tail-gating now at Number 3. Incidentally, who’s to say that this fearless Pennsylvanian considered as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women on Forbes won’t give the young Canadian lad a run for his three-peat?

The British electronica trio Years & Years made it up to Number 4 with their cutting-edge ethos track Shine – not a bad 80s-tinged synthpop making a lot of noise here in the islands as its catchy rhythm sweeps our listeners off their feet.

Totally stoking is the jump to Number 5 by the English indie rock band Florence & the Machine which I anticipated would climb up and fast – that was a dead giveaway! Their upbeat track Ship to Wreck is indeed a Heart/Pat Benetar resemblance – another aide-mémoire from the 80s – so get ready for this one to peak when Bieber and Swift decide to step down!

As for the largest mover this week, we had Tove Lo’s Time Bomb soar up 8 spots to Number 6 while the biggest drop was Demi Lovato’s Cool for the Summer as it plummeted down 10 spots to Number 20; and here’s a sneak peek for you – Downtown by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis may be making it into the charts soon.

So here’s what: lock it into Y101 Always First from 10 AM – 12 noon to listen to the hottest countdown in the islands!

Mike Solo has it all coming to you so don’t miss out on this week’s WT20!
