DJ Tiesto has married his model girlfriend Annika Backes in a lavish ceremony in the middle of the Utah desert. The 50-year-old tied the knot with Backes, 23, last Saturday, September 21 in a futuristic resort called Amagiri, in front of 80 guests.
Tiesto said: ‘I felt overwhelmed with emotions because we have been in love for so long and thinking about this day forever, and then it was finally here. It was more beautiful and more special than I could have ever imagined."
He had produced a song titled A Million Years for his new wife Annika, that was played at their reception.
Tiesto had proposed to Annika in 2018 during a trip to the Maldives. He announced the news via Instagram and gushed: ‘I am gonna spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.’ Annika added: ‘I am the luckiest girl in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with the best man ever. I love you more than you will ever know!’
