The world’s favorite K-Pop superstars have announced that they are going on an extended hiatus from performing following a concert in Seoul on Sunday.

It’s the first time the young Korean performers will take time off since the group made its debut in 2013, as stated in a Twitter statement from Big Hit entertainment, their management company.

Big Hit has said that this will provide a much needed break for the members of BTS – RM, Jungkook, Jin, Suga, J-Hope and V.

"Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their private time off," the company wrote. "BTS will return refreshed and recharged to return all the love you have and continue to show them."

BTS is credited with making K-Pop popular in the U.S., due in large part to the group's continuous touring and recording schedule since 2013. They have played five continents on five separate tours, released six full-length albums and six EPs, and maintained an amazing social media presence that's grown their massive worldwide following.

There is no definite date on when the boys will return but the management team has asked their fans to give them due space and privacy.
