Ed Sheeran finally confirms he is married to longtime girlfriend Cherry Seaborn as he mentions her as his wife on his new album, No.6 Collaborations Project.
The singer also revealed this in a new interview on YouTube with Charlemagne The God to promote his new album. During the interview, Sheeran was asked about the lyrics of Remember the Name - “My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick.” The single is a collaboration with Eminem and 50 Cent. Sheeran candidly explained “I knew we’d be married by the point that the song comes out”.
There were earlier reports that the couple got married in December 2018 with 40 of their closest family and friends in attendance in a super private and intimate ceremony.
Sheeran and Seaborn are reportedly however planning a big festival style wedding to celebrate with their celebrity pals.
The singer-songwriter announced his engagement to Seaborn in January 2018 with a candid post New Year’s Instagram shot.
Sheeran and Seaborn were schoolmates when they both attended Tomas Mills High School on Framlingham, Suffolk. Seaborn attended university in the US. After working on Wall Street, she moved back to the UK in 2016 to be with Sheeran.
