The longtime feud between pop stars Taylor Swift and Katy Perry is apparently over, with Perry uploading a photo of cookies on a plate with icing letters written on it that spell out “peace at last,” captioned “feels good” with a yellow heart emoji and mentioning the ME! singer.

The origin of the feud is unclear, with some saying it was because of John Mayer, whom the two dated at separate times. But Perry, during her appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden’s popular segment, Carpool Karaoke, confirmed her past issue with Swift over backup dancers. Perry recounted how Swift hired her backup dancers for her shows, for which Perry gave her blessing, provided that they be allowed to rejoin her for her later shows.
However, when the dancers explained the situation to the tour management, they reportedly got fired, which raised Perry’s eyebrows.

Perry further recounted that she tried to reach out to Swift to talk about it, to which the latter allegedly refused. Instead, Swift wrote and performed “Bad Blood,” which many speculate is about Perry, and which Swift said was about another female in the music industry who “tried to sabotage” her tour.

In retaliation, many believe Perry wrote Swish Swish about Swift, which song has the lyricskarma’s not a liar.” Incidentally, Perry, during her Carpool Karaoke guesting, said of Swift, “…she writes a song about me, and I'm like, 'Okay, cool, cool, cool, that's how you want to deal with it?’ Karma!”

Now, how they came to reconcile their differences is unclear, but based on Perry’s Instagram post, it seems the bad blood between two of the biggest pop stars of this generation has finally cooled.
