Captain Marvel, the 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to premiere this March around the world. However, a few people were lucky enough to see the latest Marvel offering before anyone could. Early reviews are glowing and that should excite us especially as Mashable’s Angie Han said in her review, “Well, Thanos is f-cked!

Here are their impressions.

Rotten Tomatoes’ consensus of the internet’s initial reactions reveal that Captain Marvel is “empowering, entertaining, and full of surprises”.  Other critics and viewers thought there was a strong, nostalgic '90s feel to the film, making Fandango’s “retro and dorky” comment a lot of sense.

Other reviews like from Matthew Mueller of comicbook.com reveals that, especially in the post-credits scene, “Captain Marvel” will tease the forthcoming “Avengers: Endgame”. LA Times' Sonaiya Kelley even tweeted out her impression, saying "Captain Marvel is an effective Avengers prequel in some ways akin to the 1st Captain America movie, It’s pro-woman without being overdone with pre and post credit scenes that made me tear up and gave me goosebumps respectively."

“Captain Marvel” will star Brie Larson as the titular hero. The movie is set in 1995, following the story of Carol Danvers as she becomes Captain Marvel after the Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds. The movie will premiere this March 8.
