There is no doubt that Daniel Craig is returning as James Bond for the next 007 flick. It will be the actor’s fifth installment in the beloved franchise. Craig first appeared in 2006’s “Casino Royale” and after 2015’s “Spectre”, he expressed his exhaustion and said he’d rather kill himself if he was to play the British Secret Service agent one more time. In spite of that though, Craig is guaranteed to return for Bond 25.
So with the lead actor confirmed for the role, who is going to play the antagonist/s? There are rumors that Helena Bonham Carter could play the main antagonist in the upcoming film. The actress, who played baddies in the Harry Potter movies and Alice and Wonderland and Sweeney Todd, is favored by the producers to play a role. But there is also someone else rumored to take on the main villain role.
Rami Malek’s recent performance in Bohemian Rhapsody had sparked the interest of Bond producers but it’s feared that shooting schedules for the last season of Mr Robot might act as a hindrance. When asked about the possibility of him being on the 007 franchise, Malek remained cryptically coy and said “We’ll have to see about that – it would be nice to play a villain, that would be another dream role for me.”
