The pop superstar posted a sweet picture of herself and son Rocco amid a bitter custody battle with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

57-year old pop star Madonna and 47-year old ex-husband and Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie have been involved in a custody battle over their son Rocco since December 2015. The 15-year old son refused to leave England and refused to return to his mother in New York City.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Deborah Kaplan ordered the couple’s sole biological child back to New York, but he insisted on staying with his dad and enrolled school in London.

A British judge has rescheduled a hearing for June 1 unless the parents can come up with a resolution. The judge ordered the pair to “to seek, and to find an amicable resolution” to their custody issues.

Over the weekend, Madonna shared a photo on Instagram of herself embracing her teenage son. She captioned the photo “We Need!” adding a Purple Heart emoji (which is most likely a Prince reference).

The son and daughter bonded together by watching Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and she reportedly allowed Rocco and his friends to her London mansion.

Since ending her Rebel Heart world tour in March, Madonna has been reported to have made an effort to learn more about Rocco’s life in London.
