Back in February, the infamous weed-smoking rapper Snoop Dogg once again surprised music fans by releasing a song that deviates from his usual brand of hip-hop. Snoop Dogg unveiled the song ‘Words are Few’, the first video from his first ever gospel album Bible of Love.
The 32-track gospel album recently topped the gospel charts around the world. The whole record also features a lot of gospel stars including Erica Campbell, Marvin Sapp, and Charlie Wilson.
When asked about his career move during the Stellar Gospel Music Awards held last night, the hip-hop icon said “It was always in me from the moment I came into the music industry… I always referred to my savior Jesus Christ on most of the records that I spoke on; I always had moments that I would reflect on that and let people know that I was a born again Christian. So it was just time for me to actually put my money where my mouth was.”
