Radiohead return to the internet

Radiohead learned how to disappear completely and had everyone wondering what’s going on.

Over the weekend, the acclaimed English band’s social media accounts went missing. All posts on the band’s Twitter and Facebook pages were deleted including tweets from vocalist Thom Yorke’s Twitter account. Their official website slowly faded to white over the past week and last Sunday it went totally blank.

Everyone was wondering what was going on. Fans in the UK received weird stuff from the mail. They reported receiving mysterious leaflets from the band that reads “Burn the witch, we know where you live”.

It didn’t also help solve the mystery when just yesterday Radiohead posted a short video clip on their Instagram account. The video features a claymated little bird chirping on a branch. The video was posted without any caption. It left more questions than answers.

Fans speculated that the band might be releasing their new album. It has been five years since the band released their last album King of Limbs in 2011.

But just hours ago, Radiohead premiered their single and music video to YouTube. The stop-motion video is directed by Chris Hopewell, and it features a story similar to 1973’s The Witcher Man. The name of the new song is called Burn the Witch.

The promise of a long-awaited new release from the band has promted a lot of buzz among their adoring fans. Actor Elijah Wood is among a thousand of fans who tweeted about the new song and music video. The song is reportedly number one in the Billboard Trending 140 Chart.
