The movie premiered in Los Angeles last weekend.
The Star Wars spin-off film premiered on Saturday night (December 10) in Los Angeles, before hitting cinemas worldwide this Thursday (December 15). Taking to social media, those who attended the premiere have described the film as “incredible”, “moving” and “intense”. However, one fan did criticise the movie’s plot for being “needlessly murky”.
Star Trek actor Wil Wheaton, meanwhile, wrote in a blog: “The last time I loved a Star Wars movie as much as I loved Rogue One, it was 1977.”

Star Wars fans will be very happy with #RogueOne. It's fun, action packed, doesn't feel neutered by reshoots. Donnie Yen and K2so standouts.

People worried about #RogueOne not being a gritty war film need not worry. It's intense, relentless. You can practically taste the grit.

ROGUE ONE: The plotting and objectives are needlessly murky, but the look of this thing is *ravishing*. Drop the "why" and embrace the "wow"
