Here’s a heads up on the traffic plans during the whole duration of the International Eucharistic Congress here in Cebu.

If you are planning a trip to certain areas of Cebu City, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu on January 24 to 29, be sure to check out the traffic plans below and plan your routes as early as now in order to minimize inconvenience, said traffic managers.

FIRST DAY
Sunday, January 24, 2016
Opening Mass @ 4:00 PM at Plaza Independencia

The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic, namely:

  •  M. J. Cuenco Ave. – from M.C. Briones St. up to Legaspi Extn.
  •  Osmeña Blvd. - from Lapulapu St. up to M.J. Cuenco Ave.
  •  M.C. Briones St. – from Lapulapu St. up to M.J. Cuenco Ave.
  •  Legaspi Extn. – from M.J. Cuenco Ave. up to Arellano Blvd.
  •  Serging Osmeña Blvd. – From R. Palma St. up to Legaspi Extn.

Trucks, Vans & Trailers shall not be allowed to enter SRP underpass/South Coastal Road starting at 2:00 PM until the end of the IEC event at the Plaza Independencia.

  •  ALTERNATE ACCESS ROADS
    •  From North to South and vice versa
      •  The SRP Tunnel and the South Coastal Road is open for light vehicles only
      •  Take M.J. Cuenco, Imus New Road and N. Bacalso Avenue
    •  For Downtown
      •  Take Osmena Boulevard, Zulueta and Jakosalem St.

SECOND DAY – SIXTH DAY SCHEDULE
