Bhutan, even in today's modern age of internet communications, viral videos, and WikiLeaks, still remains as one of the most mysterious places on Earth. Most people recognize Bhutan as a Buddhist country, and it is famous for its cliff-side Taktshang Lhakhang temple and unique Gross National Happiness index. Outside of these few facts, few outsiders can tell you much about Bhutan.

Bhutan has taken a very cautious approach to the tourism phenomenon. If you plan a trip to Bhutan it's only International flights are through Paro. Daily flights are available from Bangkok, Singapore, Kathmandu, Dhaka, and several cities in India. There are lots of outdoor activities to do, though mountaineering is not allowed in Bhutan, trekking, cycling, whitewater rafting is all highly popular. If you’re in Thimphu and want to explore the night light the closest thing you got is at Space 34 which offers the liveliest party atmosphere in the city, 3 times a week. Ultimately if you're in Bhutan though you will want to visit the various temples and cultural centers as these offer the finest examples of Bhutanese art and heritage.
