While top notch artists wrestle for the highest post, Mike Solo brings us a thrilling and fun-filled countdown this week!
After the results of last week’s Weekly Top 40, it is evident that this week’s countdown will be a cut-throat hit parade. As prodigious tracks from prevalent artists come marching in as prime candidates, a toss-up among the megastars’ triumphs will surely take place – Elle King’s two-time Number 1 sensation Ex’s And Oh’s continues to be a market leader, while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Downtown tailgates the Number 1 spot. But will either of them take the pike this week?
With another champion track Perfect from One Direction that’s around the bend at Number 4, who’s to tell what will happen, when ironically, their previous bomb Infinity which was at Number 3 two weeks ago is now down 5 slots? Amazing!
It throws me off to see how radically these graphs change from one week to another, and it perplexes me to perceive how rapidly the charts revolutionize in WT20, unlike Rick Dees Weekly Top 40’s unswerving and plodding treads. Yet it is quite exciting to prophesize what will happen and without a doubt, it’s a mammoth of a challenge to get it right!
For instance, just when I thought The Hills by Weeknd would make it to Number 1, it dives down to Number 7 with no basis whatsoever, while Nick Jonas’ Levels at Number 7 soars up to Number 3! Now how whacked is that? Not that I mind it at all, because I’m stoked about this Alanis Morissette-resemblance released last August 15, 2015 veering northbound – I think it totally rocks!
Now here’s another sure first past the post: Adele, up 9 slots will indisputably hit Number 1 after Hello signed in at Number 15 in the Weekly Top 20 chart – and soon it shall be! Released only last October 25, 2015, this piano ballad with soul influences debuted atop on the Billboard Hot 100 so this one’s a no-brainer!
What I heard through the grapevine was that Maroon 5’s Feelings may be entering into the charts soon so watch out for this zoomer soon!
