When we talk of EDM alone, which originated in Chicago as far back as the 80s, the dance-based music has evolved depending on its style and influence to deep house which initially fused elements of Chicago house with jazz-funk and soul or microhouse originating from minimal techno. There are so many sub-genres and fusions that have popped up such as euro house, tech house, electro house, jump house and blah, blah, blah house; then there’s derivative forms like trance, dance-pop, UK garage, gabber and I can yakety yak forever about this – you either have to be a genius to understand this entire scene or trust me, simply be totally creative! But today we’re going to hit up the new Sexy Vocal House genre…
On tomorrow night’s show, the brand new breed of DJs Mixes of the X System bring you Godfrey Labriaga’s electro house mixes. And it’s going to be Spin Off Season 2, the local inter-university DJ mix competition as well on The Flight. Anticipate some awesome mash ups from Ivan Jamilla, the hotshot DJ from Cebu Doctors University too!

When you google this, there’s absolutely nothing on wiki about this genre so I’m guessing you’re all as frustrated as I am trying to define this sub-genre! Well, here’s my assessment: it’s those sexy deep vocals that are melodic or mellow house tunes which happen to be the right mix to lure you into the night. Erotic and suggestive voices to create a sexy and erogenous atmosphere with the stimulating music it conveys – am I right?
Moving on to Hours 3 and 4 of the show, New York’s DJ Jake Guadez brings us two consecutive hours of fresh new EDM tracks straight out of the Big Apple clubbing scene. Surprise, surprise! You know he’s an ace so don’t miss out on the best dance!
