Justin Timberlake Debuts

Here in the Philippines, summer is almost about to end, but JT came up with the best summer anthem yet.

Every week Rick Dees brings you the latest hits and right now he sets the playlist of the soundtrack of your summer still in motion!

The Trolls movie, starring great vocalists Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, is about to be released in November. In order to get the people pumping for its late release, the guys from DreamWorks Productions decided to release a fun disco-funk inspired summer anthem for everyone to enjoy. Can’t Stop the Feeling written and recorded by Justin Timberlake, debuts this week at Rick Dees’ list at a fairly safe spot at number 20. Can’t Stop the Feeling is expected to rule the airwaves especially in June to August, right in time for a perfect American summer.

At the number one spot this week is still held by Danish singer/band Lukas Graham. Their existential pop ballad 7 Years is still going strong with enough spark to hold its spot for a few more weeks. Mike Posner and SeeB’s danceable sad little tropical mix went from number 4 to number 2 this week, making it a good potential replacement for the more poignant 7 Years. The number one spot in the American summer season should go to a fun and care-free song.

The Top 20 songs in this week’s list are the same from last week with just some slight position moves. The end half of the list is full of songs that are slowly fading out; Charlie Puth’s One Call Away (36), Justin Bieber’s Sorry (35), Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams (38). But somewhere beside the old songs are new ones like the very cool 80’s Hard Rock Ballad inspired Kiss it Better (27). Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s summer jam This is What You Came For also debuts this week at 21.
