Last week on the Rick Dee's Weekly Top 40 countdown, Justin Bieber made it all the way to Number 1 with What Do You Mean as I predicted! But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to prophesize that this would happen, because when you have an ace manager to promote you, a fabulous PR team and the alacrity to regroup and get back into the groove of popularity, you already know the result of these circumstances!

It's amazing how everything always seems to coincide – Biebs naked snaps, his dad's remarks, Bette Midler's comment and What Do You Mean soaring up the charts all at the same time, at the right time in the right place, just when his career was in the dumps! Too good to be true, huh?

The song – well, it's certainly no biggie to me! The tropical-house-inspired pop tune with an upbeat tempo at 120-126 BPMs is outright plain. Except for the sound of that ticking clock, its instrumentals which include the flute, piano, synths, bass and whatever else, are nothing out of the norm! I still can't see the acclaim it's getting!

The Weeknd's The Hills, which moved up a notch to Number 2 a couple of weeks back, remains to be at Number 2 for now – not a good sign at all because as I mentioned yesterday in my WT20 write-up, that's a sticky place to be in. But then again, this is kinda what I thought would happen! And it tells me that if Bieber doesn't make it to the top this week, it's going to be either Taylor Swift's turn to reign with Wildest Dreams presently at Number 4 or this Canadian singer to be the king of the throne. Regardless, with such awesome reviews it's been receiving, it should triumph if not now, sooner or later.

As for the decliners – R City Featuring Adam Levine plunged down to Number 3 last week after its two week run on the peak. Selena Gomez's Good For You continues to graciously fall out of the chart at Number 5 while Demi Lovato's Cool For The Summer drops to Number 7 and Ed Sheeran's Photograph does the same at Number 9.

Here's what we need to look out for: the third official single released last May 5, 2015 out of the album Handwritten from another Canadian singer Shawn Mendez is coming in strong. Charting at Number 4 on the Billboard Top 100, Stitches is his first song to appear in the Billboard airplay chart, gaining utmost fame. A great pop track ready to detonate – so love it!
