The pleasant twist on this week’s Rick Dees’ countdown has to be the best bolt from the blue!

Covering crème de la crème Number 1s, Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 throws a curve into his customary countdown. Just when we were speculating if Taylor Swift would make it another time on the cockscomb after having topped the chart for 4 consecutive weeks, he throws us a cliffhanger!

Last week, Tay’s Wildest Dreams did achieve its quadrant win, nothing unanticipated from America’s dream girl herself. The popular ballad has now even profited on dance-focused airwaves topping Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay taking the lead for the first time. Can you believe that?

At Number 2, we had another Canadian singer Shawn Mendes tailgating Swift with the trendy track Stitches which I was already antedating as the soon-to-be frontrunner. And at Number 3, there was Drake’s Hotline Bling coming in as hot as a furnace! All that compiled with Adele’s cutting-edge Hello full-galloping the charts to make it to Number 1 would have been a treat and a half!

But better yet, we’re placing this exhilaration on hold for the Thanksgiving weekend as Dees decides to bring us an exceptional special with all his Number 1 hits, in no particular order – simply All Number 1, it’s called!

Expect a fantastic playlist of boundless tops today as the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 brings you All Number 1 right here on Y101 from 2 PM – 6 PM.

Dee’s countdown is also replayed on Wednesdays from 6 PM – 10 PM.
