In two weeks, fans of Gorillaz will be able to get their hands on a signature line of Converse shoes designed by the band. Created by award-winning designer and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the new kicks will feature exclusive artwork and graphic images of the band.
In addition to creating their own line of shoes, the band will contribute a new track to Converse’s ongoing “Three Artists. One Song” project, which pairs three artists from different genres together to make a new song. Gorillaz recently collaborated with James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem and Andre 3000 of OutKast to create an original song titled "DoYaThing" for the project.
The new track will be available for free download at Converse.com on February 23. That's the same day the shoes will be available at Journeys and online footwear retail stores.
