Fans of Linkin Park won’t be seeing the band at this year’s DeLuna Fest on October 16. Apparently, frontman Chester Bennington suffered a shoulder injury while on tour in Asia last month and needs to have surgery.
“As much as I was looking forward to rocking our final date with our Florida fans, I’ve been advised to have immediate surgery,” said Bennington in a statement. “I’m sorry for any disappointment this has caused and look forward to seeing you again soon.”
While the festival is offering refunds for single-day tickets for Linkin Park’s scheduled show on October 16, organizers are searching for a new headliner. After Bennington recovers from his operation, Linkin Park is expected to head into the studio to begin work on their next album.
