The latest shocker to hit Hollywood is the announcement of Steven Tyler that he will not be returning as a judge on "American Idol.
Stating that after some long hard thoughts (such drama) he’s decided it's time for him to let go of his mistress “American Idol” before it boils his rabbit. He claimed that he has strayed from his first love, Aerosmith, and that he’s finally back - but instead of him begging on his hands and knees, he got two fists in the air and kicked the door open with my band.
The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass - the ultimate in auditory takeover the statement continued. Come Nov. 6 Steven Tyler and Aerosmith are unleashing their new album, 'Music from Another Dimension' on the Earth, Moon, Mars, and way beyond the stars... he did describe that AI was over-the-top fun, and that he loved every minute of it but it was now it's time to bring Rock Back.
AI creator/executive producer Simon Fuller said he's sad to see Tyler go and so the question now is if AI is in for a huge overhaul to fill in the obvious vacuum left by Tyler. Fuller added that "Steven Tyler is a real 'Idol,' a rock legend and if someone had told him 10 years ago he would be a judge on 'American Idol, he would have thought it impossible. The fact that it became a reality and they had the pleasure of him gracing AI stage for two seasons made Fuller very proud. He completely understands his desire to get back to his life as the singer in America's greatest-ever rock band.
But the fact that it might not just be Tyler who is leaving the show is now swirling on another judge that might just bolt from the show. Earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez said she too was having doubts as to whether she'll return for the show's twelfth season. So 2 seasons and a huge boost in ratings for the show and for the careers of the judges who might just be the next two faltering stars that might be called to fill in the two vacant seats.
Did you ever wonder if Jackson would also quit?
