If you are an avid aficionado of Sports Illustrated then the upcoming edition will once again keep you hanging on the edge of your seats groping for some cold water to pour down on a pretty angry "member".
One thing is for sure, Kate Upton who graces SI will be one of the hottest issues the publication has released so far (excluding those edited pics of LiLo in Playboy!). Let us dive more into Kate Upton and know more about this smoking hot 19 year old blonde babe. Born in June 10, 1992, she is an American model and actress who has appeared in SI's Swimsuit issue back in 2011 as Rookie of the Year and again this 2012 as the cover model (kodus!).
Now, this beauty is probably a good shoo-in to be a world class model and I am not talking just any two-bit gig but an Angel! Not Charlie's Angels but as a Victoria's Secret "Angel", unfortunately someone in particular is not too impressed by her stunning beauty. This "hag" goes by the name of Sophia Neophitou who hails from France (they invented French kissing) is the Editor in chief of 10 Magazines and 10 Men Magazines as well as being the creative director for Harper's Bazaar UK (as of August 09). Contributed to publications such as Dutch; Purple; Japanese Vogue; Visionare; Dazed & Confused; Nova; Fashion Editor: Independent Saturday Magazine. Sophia was selected by The Observers Life Magazine as one of the most influential and respected creative forces in fashion, alongside others such as Katy Grand, Charlotte Stockdale, Lucinda Chambers, Alistair Mackie and Venetia Scott. Currently Sofia is the creative director for Rouland Mouret and Antonio Berardi.
Sophia is the casting director of Victoria's Secret and said that Upton doesn't have the look to become an "Angel" for the lingerie line. Saying that they would never use Upton because her look is "too obvious," (you sell lingeries and things that make men go North in like a millisecond right?) Sophia added the Upton is "like a Page 3 girl," in reference to The Sun's section of scantily-clad women. Comparing her to a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy (ouch!).
Personally, comparing Kate Upton to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is like choosing two favorite deserts ending up eating both of them! (Wishful thinking) But I'd have to go with Kate based on the appeal she has, but to cast her out without even giving her a shot at a being a Victoria's Secret Angel is completely hogwash! Coming from a person who claims to be an expert, age old reason why women buy lingerie is to please their mates, and same reason why men buy their women lingerie is to stimulate the passion... nobody buys expensive lingerie just so it can be worn and paraded for fun but the fun starts when it comes off.
