It seems that after the dust has finally cleared the air up from the recent NBA lockout that threatened the season, love has filled up the air as two iconic players of the NBA (a legend and one in the making) have decided to tie the knot to their respective sweethearts giving way to rumors of some secret meetings between NBA superstars that is forcing them to reconsider their marital status.
After the news of 48-year-old basketball legend Michael Jordan getting hitched it is now LeBron James who announced his engagement to his lifetime partner, Savannah Brinson.
A spokesman for the Miami Heat player confirmed the news of James getting engaged on Sunday morning, just a few hours after James’ close friend Chris Paul and owner of the Miami Heat, Micky Arison revealed the engagement by congratulating James through their Twitter posts. It can also be confirmed that James popped on the question at a part to celebrate his 27th birthday and the New Year’s Eve.
The soon to be Mrs. James seems to have predicted the proposal as before the party she tweeted a friend, Adrienne Bosh, the wife of Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh saying that she's got a feeling that it was going to be a New Years to remember. The wedding date for James and Brinson, who have two sons, has not been announced yet.
