James Bond: Censured, not stripped.PDFPrintE-mail
Brad Burchards

Who ever has not watched a James Bond movie in their life can just stop reading this article. You definitely can't relate nor can you fathom what you missed.

I practically grew up watching all 22 Bond movies from the first movie "Dr. No" until the last movie "Quantum of Solace", I have even memorized the different actors who had played James Bond. And while waiting for the 23rd Bond movie to be released soon (Yes, it is now in the works with Javier Bardem possibly as the next villain) I hope they stay true to the tradition of the past Bond films which was Sex, Violence, and more Sex. Not to sound green or sex deprived but a Bond movie never failed to impress us with the likes of Pussy Galore, Xenia O'natopp, Plenty O'Toole, or Holly Goodhead. Bond women were always smoking hot whether they were the heroines or villains they always had that sexy appeal to us men and women (at times) but what I've actually noticed since the first Pierce Brosnan adaptation of James Bond was that it had been toned down a bit, there was still some flesh shown and some humping here and there but the actual feel we used to have with a Bond movie seemed to have been siphoned away. Probably it just due to the changing times where art is rarely justified to give way to ratings or censure. Wishfull thinking does help that things would be back the way they used to be where good 'ol James Bond of Her Majesty's Secret Secret renews his charisma with women rather than just figuring out gadgetry and winning the day.
