Summer Fun Ride slated May 22

BIKECOLOGY and Banilad Town Centre (BTC) will host a 25-K Summer Fun Ride dubbed as Beat The Cycles on May 22, 2011 to lead a "Strike vs. Stroke" that will promote fitness and awareness about the dreaded Stroke.

The BTC Summer Fun Ride is open to all road bikers, mountain bikers, folding bikers, tandem bikers and BMX riders, according to Cerwin T. Eviota, BTC marketing director.

Participating riders will gather at the BTC grounds bt 5:30AM, and kick-off the 25-kilometer city-wide ride by 6AM.
Sports And Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) of technical director Joel G. Baring has yet to fix the route that will drive through Cebu City and Mandaue City.

Parlor games await the riders and their family members as they return to BTC where prizes and surprises will also be given away. Special prizes will go to the rider who will be adjudged as Best in Fancy Attire, Youngest Biker and Oldest Biker.

There will be a registration of only P100 that will be a donation that would benefit an indigent stroke patient in a public hospital.
