Abstraction Is HomelessPDFPrintE-mail
Brad Burchards

Abstraction is Homeless the title, a playful nod to the style’s unpopularity in mainstream consciousness - attempts to activate a conversation around form, line and mark making.

Monumental in scale and alternating between painting and objects the exhibition is a sensory experience around the subject matter of non-figurative art. Dynamic and rebellious, cerebral and contemplative, each artist shares their formal inventions to create personally significant content.

Acting as meditation points, this constellation of loose energies then becomes a process of expansion and contraction around complex esoteric notions of artistic inquiry and personal reflection. A temporary ‘home’ to generate new discussion and interest around this often misunderstood style.
