Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is the genesis of the hero of the ne Greek mythology. It twisted the usual Greek gods and goddesses conception of people into a more modern-day all powerful Greek Myth gods and goddesses. It gives a new redesign of our preconceived notion that a god is different from humans. In the first book, one can hardly distinguish a god from a mortal minus the powers.
Dionysus, Poseidon, Hades, Zeus, and the rest of the gang (yeah, they were described more like a groupie here) will surely rock your world; but will not disappoint you of what you are reading. After devouring from cover to cover, I’m sure you’ll never sleep waiting for the next book to come of this pentalogy—the sea of monsters.
