Queen City United Football Club of Cebu debuts in the United Football League (UFL) on October 9 at the University of Makati field in Makati City against Pachanga FC.
This team is composed of players from the various clubs of Cebu with the core coming from the Queen City United squad.
The team is led by Ricky Dakay as manager with Glenn Quisido and Raffy Musni, two of the stalwarts of the Cebu Amateur Football Club as team representatives.
Mario Ceniza of Paref-Springdale will be the head coach and his assistants are Allan Medalla, Hayato Ayabe, and Dennis Peñalosa.
The team has a total of 25 players in the lineup including three goalkeepers. The team practices early mornings at the University of San Carlos-Talamban Campus field.
The three goalkeepers in the lineup are Alex Buanghog, Garry Garciano, and Frederick ‘KTec’ Alazas.
Jack Reston, Ronald Mahilum, Benedict ‘Blui’ Arriola, Carlito Abadia, Christian Delam, Yance Menchavez, Niño Zapanta, Ranulfo Colina, and Dave Gerali are the defenders.
The midfielders are Jan Michael Flores, Martin Bontia, Julius Acre, Josaphat Sacil, Rocky Garciano, Mitsuo Tsunakiri, and Marion Cubelo.
The strikers in the lineup are Ariel Cahilig, Epifanio Ynot, Lemar Buansit, Junard Aguilar, Rommel Cuizon, and Rene Menchavez.
Queen City United FC is playing under group C with Global FC, which has several players of the Philippine Azkals in its lineup, Stallions FC and Pachanga FC.
The second game of Cebu is set on October 16 against Global FC and its last assignment will be on October 22 against Stallions FC.
The top two teams of each group will advance to the round of 16.
 Santi Araneta of the UFL was recently in Cebu to meet with officers of the Cebu Amateur Football Club to invite them to send a team to Manila.
 Players from the men's team of the CAFC comprise the core of the Queen City United FC squad.
 The recent visit of the Philippine Azkals to Cebu helped boost the popularity of the sport here.
 Azkals skipper Ally Borromeo plays from Kaya FC in the UFL.
 The Azkals have encouraged many young players to work on their game.
 The same goes for the girls, who were with James Younghusband during the visit of the Azkals last May.
