Lindsay Lohan has taken to Twitter to distance herself from reports that she was a prospective spouse for Tom Cruise and “met with Tom before he met Katie [Holmes].

”Vanity Fair recently published a story claiming that the Church of Scientology had allegedly scouted for and possibly groomed a potential wife for the actor, who is a member of the church.

Lohan tweeted on Wednesday, “I just want everyone & @TomCruise to know, that I have/had NO part in the VF story.. Nor has anyone in my life, personal and work related.”

The Church of scientology denies any involvement in Cruise’s private life.
