This is a sensitive issue but I cannot help but write about it.

We all have seen it in the news – a Jordanian Pilot being executed by the Islamic State extremists and by burning him alive. It was not a pretty sight especially for those who have seen the video of the actual execution. The Pilot was young, only 26 years old and this monstrous thing was done to him. In return, Jordan responded lethally by executing two of their prisoners including a female would-be al Qaeda suicide bomber and of course, bombing Syria.

Personally, as a person not of religion, I would say that the extremists had to be treated that way. The extremists are being barbaric and it’s no good. So many people have been killing and have been killed because of something they believe in. It is horrible really, and it should stop. We are in the modern age and people are still killing or dying because of “beliefs”. It is a sad picture and these kinds of people cannot be stopped anymore. I know that belief is stronger than the truth so Jordan made the right decision.

I asked the Y101FM Web Admin about his opinions and he said “People have different approaches and perspectives in how they deal with life, a beautiful and positive one will always keep the human race t continue living but people who are in this rage and madness can think out of it and does work with it.  It is the rule of the jungle how they see a chaotic word so they say it:  ‘an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’.”

Francis from the Y101FM graphics team also had his share. He said that forgiveness isn’t always the solution. There are times where we should act out. “If we let them be, they won’t stop”, he said.
