Sinulog Advisories

To address the possible lack of public transportation due to the Sinulog Grand Parade, the LTO has given at least 100 public utility jeepneys and 16 buses special permits to ply the city's streets this Sunday. At least 75 PUJ’s would be stationed at the back of City Hall for this purpose. For a fare of P6.50, drivers of these PUJs will be allowed to carry passengers through the South Coastal Road in going to the temporary Cebu South Bus terminal at SRP, and vice versa.

CCTO and the Cebu City Police are informing the riding public that vehicular traffic will be re-routed on the affected streets along the Carousel Route of the Grand Sinulog Parade;

The route starts from New Imus Road, straight to M.J. Cuenco Ave., turns left to Gen. Maxilom Ave., proceed to Fuente Osmeña, turning left to Osmeña Blvd., all the way down to Cebu City Sports Complex. From there it turns right to R.R. Landon St., then turns left to the Entrance Gate of the Cebu City Sports Center passing the Sinulog Grandstand located near the exit of P Del Rosario street, the route then turns right to N. Bacalso Ave., then U-turns infront of the old Citilink Terminal, follows back to N. Bacalso Ave., proceeds to P. del Rosario St., and follows back to New Imus Road.


Total closure on these streets shall be on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 5:00 o’clock in the morning.

Clearing/Towing of vehicles and other obstruction along the Carousel Route shall be done on January 14 (Saturday) at 10:00 P.M. up to 5:00 A.M. of January 15 (Sunday morning) then follows the road closure.

A parking space for private vehicles for free is provided at SRP area near St. Pedro Calungsod Templete. PUJ’s are available to cater passengers going to and from Maritima Building across City Hall with a minimum fare.
