How many of us are aware that 1 out of 13 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. This ranks the Philippines 9th highest incidences of the
disease. Unfortunately, most cases in the country are detected at the latter stages, when the possibility of treatment is slim or when it is
no longer treatable.

Last October 16, 2015, SM Woman together with Sabina and I Can Serve Foundation invited distinguished guests to "Sewing Cup, Sewing Heart" an
activity to fight the threat of Breast Cancer together. Sabina is an expert in women physiology so it understands the dilemma that women suffering from breast cancer have to go through. This is particularly true for breast cancer survivors who have undergone mastectomy.

With Sabinas advocacy, the main objective of the Sewing Cup, Sewing Heart campaign that started in Thailand 8 years ago is very simple, we were asked to sew breast cups that would be donated to breast cancer survivors who do not know how to return to their normal lives after under going a mastectomy.

This campaign had opened up the reality that anyone can be a victim, no matter how young, how healthy and active. These victims can be anyone from a mother, a sister, or even a friend and they need our help and support. We can fight this battle together with proper awareness and
guidance. So lets all help each other fight this disease and bring awareness to all women.
