After news of Prince’s death yesterday, tributes and throwbacks flooded the social media, but none is more hilarious than this.

In 2011, the King of Purple and the reality TV queen Kim Kardashian collided on stage for an awkward but hilarious moment at Madison Square Garden.

During Prince’s concert that night as part of his Welcome 2 tour, the Purple Haze singer hunts for a lady in one of the front rows to join him on stage, flirting and amusing his audience. He spots Kim K and asks her to join on stage, then proceeds to dance around her to a funky groove. The reality TV star just stands in place and laughed nervously. Kim K seems to like she is refusing to dance with the legendary musician so then in a few seconds, Prince tells her to “get off my stage”. When he shooed Kim away, he added “I need a dancer” and people cheered on.

Kim K later tweeted about the incident and explained why she just froze on stage.

When the musician died yesterday, a lot of celebrities paid tribute. Kim Kardashian remembered the incident and posted a picture of them on that stage as a tribute to the King of Purple on Instagram.

The star captioned the image, “I will always remember this moment with one of my favorite artists! I was so star struck I froze! RIP Prince”
