Is “Avengers: Infinity War” an allegory about Disney taking over the world?

Avengers: Infinity War will be released in movie theaters this April 25. Y101 will be giving away tickets to see this blockbuster next week so keep locking in to get a chance to win some.

The forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superhero movies. The movie itself, as we all know by now, is about Thanos’ masterplan to collect the infinity stones in order to rule the world. Steve Rose of The Guardian made a great comparison of Thanos’ masterplan to Disney’s own masterplan to acquire the rights of major entertainment brands like Marvel and Pixar which it has brought for $4 Billion and $7.4 Billion, respectively.

Disney has also acquired LucasFilms the owner of the Star Wars franchise, and is in the final process of taking over 20th Century Fox, the owners of the X-Men, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, Alien, Avatar, and The Simpsons.

So basically, Disney is Thanos, and well on the way to controlling half the movie universe.”, Rose says in his article which you can read in full here.
